My Everyday Deaf Life
I am just like you, in every way except for one.
I am deaf.

Just like the sky is blue to you, I am deaf. It's an everyday piece of my life. I could change this by getting a cochlear implant so I could hear, but I would never do that.
I go to an all-deaf school. I have all-deaf friends, and all-deaf teachers. Deafness is all around me, under my skin, in my eyes, and especially in my ears.
I am just like you. I go to school, play sports, and have friends and hobbies. I love art, reading and writing, just like a normal kid.
I am a normal kid.
